: Suggestions on the Sustainable Crossroad

Suggestions: This study provides suggestions for the safety on traffic signals in the outside lighting. The present crossroads are hard to be seen in the nighttime and in case of outworn traffic signals, they are difficult to be distinguished in the daytime as well, which causes many of the pedestrian traffic accidents. And it costs quite a lot of the government money to replace the old crossroads. Hereupon, this study suggests useful lighting plans using LED lights for the pedestrian safety, the function of a crossroad, which complements the problems the present crossroads have with some valuable features: high efficiency of lights, environmental-friendly light sources, semi-permanent durability, and various expressions of lights.

Functions: When the signal changes, a pedestrian or driver can get the information of the changed signal that corresponds to each one’s situation.
The LED light controls cars for pedestrians to cross the road safely and provides them with the signs of information to show the direction to go and signal waiting time using LED lights on the ground of the crossroad. And the drivers can get the information of the waiting signal, waiting time, and direction to drive.
