in a joint participation as design holding, flos, B&B italia, and louis poulsen introduce visitors of the salone del mobile to a mix of their latest collections and masterpieces through an all-encompassing booth designed by calvi brambilla. resembling a life-size pinball game, the stand incorporates a graphic corridor where all three companies’ most iconic products and collaborative designers are depicted, after which splits in three distinctive areas.

located in the new S.project pavilion, the cross-cutting booth is conceived by calvi brambilla – who also designed the award-winning stand of flos in 2017 – to reflect the philosophy of the recently created group, design holding. putting on stage the common narration of the three strong individual identities of flos, B&B italia, and louis poulsen, the stand incorporates the companies’ connection to history by visually relating iconic pieces with contemporary products. designers such as achille castiglioni, ronan and erwan bouroullec, gaetano pesce, nendo, and patricia urquiola are depicted on the walls, which light up in several parts, resembling an actual pinball game while telling the stories of the three companies.

past the life-size pinball corridor, the booth splits in three separate areas, where the companies showcase their individual pieces. in its own area, flos has launched the re-edition of one of its cult designs from the sixties,the chiara lamp by mario bellini, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. additionally, it presents innovative designs and original lighting systems created by michael anastassiades, ronan and erwan bouroullec, antonio citterio, formafantasma, piero lissoni, nendo, philippe starck and patricia urquiola.
