HomeGrown by Benjamyn Cox from uk
designer's own words:
The chair embodies the notion of ‘living simplicity’ as it grows and evolves in appearance over time. In a period of inactive or little growth the chair is a visually simple, unobtrusive canvas that precedes the growth of a living, organic, floral pattern.
The graphic and/or structural decorative representation of nature has been replaced by the very thing it set out to replicate. Art imitating life, imitating art.
The chair functions as a highly decorative seat accommodating the growth of decorative indoor vine plantation, but it could also support fruit and herb vines.
The chair is made from a brushed steel, wire frame.
