A_FAMILY is a series of chairs for the whole family.

The shape of the chairs is simple and pure and can be unfolded to a flat surface.

For the adult version those basic outlines are laser cut (subtractive production method) from 8mm flat recycled aluminium panels and the machine bent to the final shape. The cuttings are easily recyclable into the production circle through remelting.
The kids' version, produced from colored and natural plywood uses an additive production method of laminating varying layers of the base shape over a negative of the final form to reduce cut-off.

The design allows for a plentitude of different colors and materials and is therefore adaptable to different age and user groups. This results in a manifold design experience that can be simultaneously enjoyed by the whole family.
