designer's own words:
Experiencing different culture is becoming common all over the world. The most obvious culture experiencing is indoubtfully the traditonal food in each culture. While the most common difficulty people come across with when experiencing different culture's style & tradition of eating is the proper way to use the utensils. Touch is a chinese bowl with a blend of tradition and a hint of contemporary twist. It is made from porcelain and food safe silicon rubber. The silicon pattern on the bowl is heat & slip resistant, which helps users to hold the bowl without burning their fingers. The pattern is inspired by ying-yang and transformed into a graphic of a hand with fingers holding the bowl, which in turn gives a subtle hint to non-traditional users to hold the bowl correctly and safety, even when holding hot soup with both hands!
