For me the most enjoyable things in life are those that are least expected. The image of a lampshade mounted in a door is an example of an unexpected paradise. The simple combination of two archetypal objects found in almost every home creates an interest and simple beauty. Both the door and lampshade come with their own identity, context and preconceived idea of function and place, which when combined provide a beautiful sense of confusion.
