iran-born and shanghai-based architect nasim sehat proposes ‘slice’, a sustainable, people-centric, connected, self-contained, and flexible plug-and-play urban living solution that caters to the needs of modern city dwellers, the freelancers, and the creative class. the project consists of a basic unit configuration — a sleeping module and a toilet module — the units are booked and accessed using a digital service.

to use slise, a deposit is required for first-time customers and payment is calculated based on a combination of usage time, the configuration of modules and use of utilities which is deducted automatically. using the digital service, the consumer can report on defect modules which will be replaced.

future of SLICE

users of sehat’s slice can either book units in pre-approved locations or use units they pass by. additionally, they can request pieces in suburbs, rural areas and nature which the service will deliver by automated drones or vans. the user will enter slice through a door which will open by scanning a QR code. each slice will have access to the internet, water, electricity, and sewage.
