the concept of D7 kitchen ambiance/area is based on the analysis of the different processes that take place in the kitchen, their simultaneity, consecutivity and their needs of space. the functions (table, kitchen-sink, dishwasher, freezer, range, el. range, oven, utensils stock, ..) are divided into three mobile and one stabile parts. this division encourages the user to configure differently "his kitchen area" and thereby to permutate, modify, the whole space of the house (room). from a compact box (of 1,5 m2) to a linear or spacial configuration, the kitchen becomes a flow line corresponding to different uses of the kitchen area (no. of people, type of food to cook, ..). mobile parts can be used separately (garden party). materials and shapes are based on the fascination with industrial machine production and its aesthetics.
