silica tetrahedron by jorge salgado from usa
designer's own words:
silica, the basic component in the production of glass and crystal inspired this design. the geometric form of silica at an atomic level helped generate the tetrahedron-derived tripartite units making up the organization of the composition. individual crystals are suspended on polished steel cables so any atmospheric disturbance, be it wind, vibrations, or touch, registers itself in a wall that is both dynamic and dazzling.
