This project is a collaboration between an indusrtial designer and a fine artist. The process used burns images onto tiles, creating detail and colour like a photograph. We have used pictures that work on several levels. from a distance it creates patterns, colour and form, but up close the detail and complexity pulls you inn and give a tactile dimention to the work. this is a new way of considering tiles not only as colour and shape, but as a medium for displaying art,
the large circle is the centerpiece of any room
printed on nine tiles, with a white base tile, you can combine, rotate and create your own pattern.
the image itself has incredible depth, and is available in four colours.
