tom dixon and faye toogood among designers invited by bill amberg to debut new digitally printed leather

tom dixon, faye toogood and timorous beasties are among designers invited by british designer bill amberg to debut a new digitally printed leather collection during london design festival this year. US-based alexandra champalimaud and natasha baradaran join the aforementioned designers in creating graphics that will be printed onto cow hides using amberg’s specially developed techniques.

amberg has spent three years developing the specialist digital printing technology that results in a much finer dye penetration to the skin. the hide is then finished with a durable dressing that retains the grain and handle of the material.

in line with london design festival 2018, the inaugural range of bill amberg print products will launch on 15 september in london’s kings cross. the collection will be available to purchase via billamberg.com and selected trade partners.
