patricia urquiola’s vimini collection for kettal follows on from the basket chair designed for the company in the fifties by nanna ditzel. what the designer calls ‘an object of memory’, the collection references ditzel’s design in a less modernist spirit, combining outdoor wicker with a rougher wooden frame.

comprising a dining armchair, sofas and side tables, kettal‘s collection features traditional braiding and offers a relaxed yet captivating option for outdoor spaces. urquiola designed the chair with a basket and large backrest cushions which nodes to its modernist precedent when seen from the side and back.
