black resin mimics nocturnal panorama in AMO-designed prada F/W 2018 show

AMO, the research and think tank wing of OMA, establish a sophisticated spectacle and dialogue between fashion, architecture and the city of milan in their set design for the prada fall/winter 2018 fashion show. sharp volumes are accentuated by a black resin finish that magically shimmers in the light, mimicking the nocturnal panorama outside.

the prada fall/winter 2018 womenswear show takes place in the nearly finished tower of their fondazione complex in milan. designed by OMA the new architectural complex offers a unique view on the skyline of the city.

AMO worked on a delicate design for the view from the tower in an attempt to reaffirm the relationship between the milanese fashion house and the city of its origin. the outlook onto the city is enriched with striking neon signs reflecting the brand emblem’s many manifestations whilst enhancing the post-industrial character of the area.
