cristian mohaded continues robust ninho collection with coat-furred lamp and tables

cristian mohaded finalizes a material exploration by adding to his ‘ninho’ collection — presented the previous year in the serge bensimon gallery in paris — a limited edition of table lamps and coffee tables. for the designer’s latest work, he again involves a material rescued from a carpet factory. this collection called ‘ninho’ — nest in portuguese –, on the outer surface is covered with a deep and flexible coat that allows you to play to the touch.

the superimposed layers of argentine designer and artist cristian mohaded‘s collection generate a kind of fur that grows from a metal structure and its legs appear as external elements. the tables contain this material in its perimeter, as a kind of protection, and its table – superior disc — horizontally cuts the coat fur. the lamps are reduced to a simple surface enveloped by this texture, and the light passes through the semi-transparency of the material that takes density and strength by the addition of layers.
