the north awakens features stunning drone footage of iceland's scenic landscape

artists jonathan besler, kevin may and florian gampert have trekked across the scenic landscape of iceland to capture the most stunning views of the country. in a five minute video titled ‘the north awakens’, the artists record areal views of the rugged mountaintops, glaciers, and vivid northern lights painting the skies using a drone.

besler, may and gambert used a combination of gadgets to accurately record iceland from a different vantage point. the artists used a phantom 4 pro drone, a sony A7SII as well as a nikon D850.‘the north awakens send you right into the rough and beautiful landscapes of iceland where you can get the most magic moments when sun has already set,‘ explains besler.
