photographer luca tombolini has captured more flawless landscapes – the next chapter in his LS series designboom reported on earlier this year. like his previous work, LS X demonstrates tombilini’s habitual practice, using photography to establish a connection with the landscapes he embarks on, an external investigation that often exposes the clashes between the majesty and spirituality of sceneries, and the values of contemporary society.

in his bid to understand his surroundings tombolini welcomes a phase of introspection, unclouded by connections to society and everyday life. tombolini describes his process of capturing images as extremely slow and meditative, relying unconsciously on the navigation of his vision and emotions.
