yamaha's motoroid experiments with fusing AI + motorcycles at tokyo motor show

yamaha presents the ‘motoroid’, a motorcycle concept that can interact with the rider thanks to artificial intelligence. unveiled ahead of tokyo motor show 2017, the bike features AI technology which the japanese-manufacturer says can offer the rider an experience of ‘kando’, the japanese concept of deep spiritual inspiration and satisfaction.

yamaha’s ‘motoroid’ development concept was an ‘unleashed prototype’, and is capable of recognizing its owner and interacting in other capacities like a living creature. as illustrated, the electric-powered concept features chrome battery cells that look like canisters beneath the rider’s seat, that is influenced by a futuristic racing design. by undertaking these kinds of development challenges, the japanese-manufacturer aims to acquire innovative technologies for its vehicles.
