Chair Ja is inspired by the apple form and is made out of apple tree wood. It uses the apple tree both in substance and in form following the lifecycle of every tree connecting everyone who sits on it to the apple seed it once was. Chair Ja is a contemporary piece of furniture emphasising the meaning of apple in a subtle engaging way and honouring the apple tree by using it's wood expressing Hirosaki's apple production in a novel way.
