Seishin by Sambhram from india
designer's own words:
Seishin, meaning 'soul' in Japanese, is a levitating night lamp which defines the epitome of Hirosaki, Japan's soul of apple production. The lamp is made of fostered glass, a clear alternative for a plastic body. The glass is tempered on the outside to provide extra strength to its structure. The lamp houses LED's for mood based lighting. Hence it is eco-friendly in its lighting and also in its composition. The base which houses the electronics is made of porcelain with a distinctive and unique pattern inspired from the Japanese culture. The night lamp, not only does it adhere to local culture but is also technologically advanced with magnetic levitation, a technology that still fascinates the human mind. Finally, the night lamp comes with an iOS and Android based app that can be used to remotely control the lighting of the lamp.
The rendering of Seishin shows that the presence of other everyday objects around Seishin, amplifies the presence of Seishin itself. Seishin draws the user’s eyes for its beauty and its technology.
