sergi ventura's latest pendant light collection features violins, flowers and birds all plated in 24k gold

product designer sergi ventura reveals his first lighting collection that evokes a world of elegance and fantasy, composed of three pendant lights and one floor lamp. the collection starts with the desire to capture unique moments and transform them into actual lighting pieces, which is simplified to pure lines and soft shapes.

the ballerina piece interprets the sensuality and beauty of the dancer

a ballet dancer performing, an instrument playing, a bird looking for food or a flower hanging on the balcony are brought to the lighting world, becoming elegant pieces that find the right technical approach to light up any interior space. in terms of finishes, the pieces are plated with 24 karats gold, copper or painted in black or white. ventura’s lighting collection also features the combination of many semi-artesanal manufacturing processes to create each design, from mouth blown glass and springs bent by hand to laser cut and cnc machining.

the manufacturing process of each of the top springs is highly complicated, requiring the use of a very rare machine

‘dorking’ is between the abstract and the functional, which comes to life when its prominent tail opens or closes as we lower or raise its big bright eyes

each eye is power by a 6W LED, giving a total power of 12W

‘light’n’roll’ plays with the light by emitting it through the vertical thin lines and refracting it through the wavy glass, simulating the vibration of the strings

the lamps are made from high quality glass that are available in red stradivarius and smoked

‘lobelia’ reflects the fresh flowers of the yard

the result is a delicate piece that allows you to see through as if the spiral were thin petals
