continuing to embody the ethos of the italian brand’s innovation and aesthetics, illy announces an anniversary edition of the renowned ‘X1’ espresso machine. since its beginnings in 1996, the luca trazzi-designed machine has undertaken an evolution in form and functionality. this specifically relates to its new curved lines, as well as its new cup rest that adjusts to varying heights.

just like illy‘s original ‘X1’ espresso machine, its functions surround a round black thermometer gauge with white lettering. this ensures luca trazzi‘s design stays as true to its predecessor as possible. with a wealth of major functional updates, the coffee machine now has the ability to brew a cup of drip coffee in addition to espresso, and also includes a steam wand for frothing milk, an automatic flow stop, a memory function for cup volume, and an automatic descaling program.
