ORII ring turns hand into smartphone using bone conduction technology

dubbed the ‘world’s first voice-powered smart ring’, the ‘ORII ring’ enhances bone conduction technology to transform the hand into a smartphone. unlike previous smart rings, such as the ‘MOTA‘ and ‘logbar‘, this gadget shifts away from the typical normalities within the field, opting for a screen-free communication. with its advanced technology, the wearable transmits sound through your finger to your ear, offering a stylish and spy-like alternative to answering the phone.

created by hong kong-based start up origami labs, the ‘ORII ring’ aims to take connectivity to the next level. users can make calls, send messages, or command a voice assistant, such as apple’s siri or google assistant, by placing their fingertip to their ear. as well, with its dual-noise cancellation microphone you can hear and talk in the loudest of environments. made from scratch and splash-proof anodized aluminum, the wearable technology integrates with everyday life being durable, lightweight and comfortable. additionally, the product is available in three different color options; matte black, sandblasted silver, and metallic dark gray.
