eureka + g architects studio complete roadside ono-sake warehouse in japan

a collaborative project saw the ‘ono-sake warehouse’ completed in the border of a commercial and residential district in tsukuba, ibaraki, japan. the multi-functional building has been designed to offer the local community an extensive store, office space and storage. the industrial aesthetic addressed by the simple material palette chosen and used throughout.

g architects studio and eureka studio worked together to construct the scheme that composes of logistics warehousing, shops, and offices for a liquor store that stores and sells adjacent to a roadside. inside, the double-height space is finished in wood where the two functions: storage and shopping, are separated into two distinct spaces. on the exterior a steel light-weight staircase leads up to a terrace area that also has access to the upper level grocery area.
