merged into its dramatic topography is fran silvestre arquitectos has envisioned ‘zarid house’ located on the cabo de plat overlooking the atlantic ocean. the proposal sees a series of slender volumes intertwined and meet at the middle as they adapt to the descending terrain. this method optimizes views and allow the dwelling to protrude from the rockface overlooking beach below.

the stark-white build would be constructed into the landscape and visualized as stepped terraces and ultimately, enable all of the interior to lead onto a generous terrace. inside, the creation of many half-levels correspond to different programs without the need of partitioning, keeping the interior open and bright. in contrast, enclosed courtyards and gardens will be situated behind, allowing the inhabitants to retreat when there is high wind on the other side.
