wally is working on a new 93 foot luxury sailing yacht

the wally ‘93’ superyacht is a majestic visionary concept by monaco-based shipyard wally yachts, producer’s of the ‘angel’s share‘. this teak-finished 93 foot long sailboat is currently under construction and illustrates the synergy between naval designers and architects when the budget is of no concern.

founded in 1994 by italian businessman luca bassani, wally yachts produces eye-catching designs, boasting sharp profiles blended with high-performance. its latest offering, the 93 foot wally ’93’, is a cruiser-racer currently under development for a racing yachtsman. designed as both a high-performance cruising yacht and a competitive racing vessel, this stunning model features a host of amenities that enables six passengers and two crew members to have a first-class experience.

the wally ’93’s’ production is being overseen by judel vrolijk naval architecture firm with interior design accents by sans tabù. its ‘midnight’ black hull and enormous sails give the yacht a sophisticated look with a distinctive profile. the luxurious teak deck offers plenty of outdoor space for guests to lounge as they feel the breeze, take in ocean views and relax in the sun.

the ’93’s’ materials include high modulus unidirectional carbon-fiber and CNC female carbon-fiber mold to ensure a its premium finish and durability. featuring a displacement of just 35.5 tons, this powerful superyacht is optimized for light to medium conditions, and the huge sails can be wind-driven with 16 knots of wind, from their upwind-sail-area of over than 5400 sq. feet, and a downwind-sail-area up to 11 400 sq. feet. a 255 hp steyr diesel engine also provides ample cruising power if no wind can be found. the wally ’93’ is scheduled to launch next summer, with an expected debut at the 2018 maxi yacht rolex cup.
