while some might be inclined to dismiss the senstone as technological overkill, the miniature microphone packs a more than a few interesting features that help it stand out from the crowd. worn on your lapel, around your neck, or on your wrist, the microphone is activated with a single tap to start recording, and another to stop. it’s ridiculously simple, but does away with the need to hunt out your phone and search for the right app.

not only does it work for spur of the moment memos, it also comes in handy for impromptu interviews and has noise cancelling software to ensure it only records what you want it to. for more off-the-grid usage, the senstone has up to two and a half hours of memory when recording alone, and automatically syncs to the cloud when you return to civilization. it also promises a ‘finger-snap’ record function for nighttime use, for those of us (I’m looking at you lucid dreamers) who like to record their dreams as soon as they wake up.

the device’s niftiest feature is that it can accurately transcribe these dictations into text. not only does this save you the hassle of doing the task manually, but it means the senstone can sync with note apps as well as messenger apps to make documentation and communication simple and expedient. the wave shaped wearable is made from chrome plated brass and clear brass, but also comes in a lighter aluminum version in anodised white, gray and black.

all of this is controlled by means of the senstone’s minute screen containing 17 LEDs capable of displaying a number of different signals. different light arrangements alert the user to activities such as charging, battery status, recording or synchronization. when the gadget runs out of juice, you can drop it into a USB powered docking station for simple, versatile charging.
