dubbed the ‘WIND’, this futuristic hydrocraft concept depicts the future for automotive brand, mercedes-benz. slovakian designer, slavomir ozanik, has created several concepts in the past. based in bratislava, ozanik has created no less than ten other captivating concept vehicles, all of which exhibit a unique and authentic interpretation of each brand.

ozanik’s ‘WIND’ powered hydrocraft’s form appears to borrow lines straight from the mercedes-benz supercar design ‘handbook’. the familiar front grille typifies the brand, also echoing the lines of the retro-futuristic ‘2040‘ concept vehicle. as the name may suggest, this vehicle is 100% wind powered and aerodynamics are at the core of the vehicles form. the hydrocraft’s upper-wind-wings harness wind energy and allow guidance, while the lower-hydro-wings stay submerged underwater for stability.
just as the history of the stuttgart-based brand influenced him, ozanik’s renderings can serve to inspire manufacturer’s designers to take greater risks, to design truly dramatic and mesmerizing modes of transportation.
