lagranja design deliver a cocktail influenced interior for other room bar in singapore

located under the luxurious marriot hotel in singapore stands ‘the other room’ cocktail bar, an exciting new social hub renovated by lagranja design. the space unveils a large display of selected vintage glassware paired with unexpected elements including custom made objects that make reference to the art of mixology.

the squared space can be entered through both the marriot’s lobby or street. encircled by curtains, the bar is presented as an exclusive establishment in which to unwind and socialise. once inside, the viewer can view the area in two divided parts: the bar and lounge area. at the main entrance stands the black marbled bar containing two cocktail stations placed under a golden and pink brass backlighted wall-shelf. from its top, an array of of wax-lamps made especially for the project are showcased against bottled spirits.

the bar is bordered by a two-way mirror glass, which acts to enlarge the intimate area. the defining feature of the space is the large golden cocktail shaker sculpture which hangs from the ceiling until the floor. designed by lagranja, the unique furniture piece has become the focus for the graphic identity of the interior, carrying through to the signage and logo design. other elements include hand-crafted wooden stools which were also created by the studio to incorporate a humble feel to the secluded spot.
