design icons amsterdam is a celebration of timeless classics and takes place every year in the de overkant venue, a former marine engine factory restored as a large event hub. stretching 140 meters, the space gives visitors a unique view of the IJ river and city center. combining these two features with the industrial atmosphere, this venue is the ideal setting to showcase design icons of the past century. from furniture, lighting and decorative objects, visitors can expect to encounter subtle madman styles alongside small vintage accessories and museum quality icons.

designs by wegner, jacobsen, braakman, eames, kalff, sarfatti, cadovius, kramer and alons will be showcased during the 2017 event. participants list includes returning dealers judith wolberink gallery, vervlogen jaren en kunstconsult from holland. additional brands such as pellegrini design, dierbaar design, gramercy park and molecula will be featured — among others.
