joined by his spanish sidekick king gordo (a puppet version of the the artist’s popular sculpture), each episode of the gloriously ’80s inspired series sees mckenzie respond to fan requests for insights about his process as a creator. topics addressed in season one of the tongue-in-cheek instructional art program include painting, sculpting and drawing, and will air periodically across mckenzie’s social media channels. the series is a collaboration with aardman nathan love, whose executive producer jon o’hara expressed excitement about the project: ‘aardman nathan love is committed to cultivating talent outside of our small world of NYC commercial content creation. we are fortunate to have this opportunity to support jim in sharing his tutorials with fans and followers’.
