the project by CASE-REAL, was centered on the ideas of creating a space that would capitalize on the views, sunlight and wind, and at the same time, protect the residents from the harsh sun rays and the possibility of hurricanes. the low-rise property is organized with the master bedrooms facing the ocean and the communal spaces towards the greenery behind. meanwhile, the buffer space in-between the two volumes sits in the path of seasonal winds. furthermore, bi-folding doors installed with a mesh fixture provides light and securing into this corridor space. the mesh pattern is a reference to the local construction material translated to ‘flower block’ and by creating a fixture based on this basic module, a strong exterior image was established.
