AC/AL studio creates 'paula', the first stackable wooden chair for hartô

maison et objet fall 2016: produced by french furniture brand hartô and designed by emerging designer-duo amandine chhor & aïssa logerot of AC/AL studio, the ‘paula chair’ demonstrates a simple and refined frame that is able to suit different interior styles, whether for the home or in hospitality.

AC/AL studio‘s ‘paula’ finds its identity by a distinctive joining detail between the back and the rear feet. the wooden frame is fabricated in solid oak and the seat in plywood and in turn, is the first stackable wooden chair edited by hartô. the simplicity of its lines gives it an elegance in the figure while responding to a concern of seating comfort and practical use. the removable backrest also offers different finishes in color to suit different environments and overall, balances between function, technical performance and shape.
