luxury home accessories brand atelier swarovski home showcased at milan design week 2016 their ‘printed’ crystal collection designed by raw edges. seeking to redefine the role of art within the home, creators yael mer and shay alkalay embraced the crystal as a medium in new light, with objects that interest where vision and art meet in decorative form.

atelier swarovski worked with the designers to translate their foward-thinking design DNA and technical expertise into luxurious crystal pieces. raw edges showcased a laser-jet crystal printing technique, seen across the range of sizes. by layering colorful patterns on the interior of the objects, designs were distorted and augmented by the crystal faceting. when the crystals sit together, the reflections and layering reveal additional images of even greater depth.  ‘you see something and you’re not sure how it works or what’s behind it – and that’s inspiring,’ explains raw edges. this is their first collaboration with swarovski.
