ross lovegrove creates futuristic packaging for kiko milano’s wanderlust summer collection

kiko milano launches ‘wanderlust’ — a new, limited-edition summer collection for 2016 that is influenced by the passion for travel, offering beauty with a free-spirited soul. to present the make-up products with an allure that evokes a sense of summer, and an aura of glamour, ross lovegrove was asked to create the packaging. the british designer, known for his futuristic forms drawn from nature, has interpreted the collection’s theme by bundling each product — from foundation to cream, to eyeliner to eyeshadow, lip stick to perfume — in a way that decodes the DNA of kiko. ross lovegrove captures the essence of breeziness, elegance, femininity, sensuality and functionality, highlighting the packaging by a metallic rose gold hue, embossed by a pattern of circles, that expresses his signature style, while still maintaining kiko’s aesthetic.
