solar panels are located on the roof to power the car and parts of the car such as the
interior and trim are constructed with materials such as hemp and eco wool. the finish

of the car uses a new high tech water based paint. by using these materials the car is
lighter in weight, reducing the amount of power needed to accelerate the car. when
developing the car lotus did not only focus on making the car fuel efficient, they also

wanted to change the manufacturing process to be more environmentally friendly.
