material economy meets sculpture in lese chair by lock furniture

lock proves that flat-pack furniture is anything but boring with their latest chair design, ‘lese’. composed of CNC-cut 18mm beech plywood and transparent polycarbonate panelling, the puzzle-like seat emphasizes its own construction by removing all unnecessary elements. ‘lese’ is one of many works by the bulgarian studio, whom often strike a balance between material economy and sculptural creations. the design is completed with hardwood beech legs that provide strength, and also connect the piece to classical chairs past. ‘lese’ is available in natural or black finishes.
