in this edition, POD sessions presents a conversation with stefan sagmeister, one of the most inspiring graphic designers of his time. they discuss the influence of technology and the human-centric approach in his work. he comments: ‘I don’t know a single person who prefers the automated machine over the real person. so why do we so often pretend that what we make is made by a machine? it makes no sense.’ stefan reflects on his work, ‘also, as a young designer I wanted to do new things all the time but that proved impossible to do. now, the older I get, the less the new is important to me.’
