nestled in the backyard of a creative couples’ brooklyn, new york home, is the ‘writing pavilion’. an isolated place to escape, the small studio was designed by architects alessandro orsini and nick roseboro of architensions. the dwelling is clad with black stained cedar, which strongly departs from the interior’s natural pine plywood.

the structure’s form is optimized to absorb and internally reflect as much natural light as possible. its interior is sparsely furnished with a single chair, folding writing table, and a small selection of artworks. the ‘writing pavilion’ provides a small retreat from the chaos of modern life, allowing ideas to come alive via a synthesis of material and spatial imagination.
