the canopy of pink foam models are in fact composed of unused concepts submitted by students and alumni across the school’s built environment disciplines; from landscape architecture to urban planning. from afar, the pavilion visualizes as a scattered constellation and on approach, the detail of each model is emerges as visitors are consciously invited to look up and walk underneath. the project has inherently captured the meticulous, behind-the-scenes stages of the developmental process that every design student experiences, bringing to life the unseen, and celebrating it as a dynamic public installation.
