ilaria innocenti has created the ‘belle’ family, a series of cake stands and containers with a varnished ash wood base and a brass-plated steel cover produced by incipit. the milan-based product and interior designer’s aim was to reinterpret the traditional elements of pastry and gelato shops, turning them into domestic objects that mix contemporary colours and cheerful shapes, with a touch of tradition added through brass. ‘belle’ is a perfect way to serve fruit, cakes and snacks on a table in a scenic and elegant way.

the tall cake stand (18 x 18 x 21 cm) maintains the ash woods original color

the small cake stand (13 x 13 x13 cm) is painted in green 

the wide cake stand (26 x 26 x 13 cm) has a dark blue base

the designer’s aim was to reinterpret the traditional ways in which pastry and gelato shops display their goods

 the objects mix contemporary colours and cheerful shapes, with a touch of tradition added through brass

‘belle’ is perfect to serve fruit, cakes and snacks on the table
