designer's own words:

Interactive installation designed to demonstrate the importance of water for the human body and the environment. Prevention is a strategy we can use to anticipate problems, and the protection of water and preservation of ecosystems where it is produced, is a public concern where everyone needs to help. We are all water is a fun way to show people of any age, that we are water (The human body is approximately 60% of water) and we need it to survive. The installation is made up by panels with 6 interactive screens that use cameras and movement sensors to read body movement and create a digital reflection of the person standing in front of the screen. This reflection moves with the person throughout the installation and is made up by changing images of different ecosystems that show the importance of water for all living things. The last panel of the installation is different, because there is no reflection and instead people can observe a polluted landscape, is a way to anticipate what will happen in the future if people don’t take care of water resources; in the same way the reflection disappears, we will disappear too. We are all water is innovative, uses high technology to read and display the body using interactive and meaningful images that could teach a valuable lesson and make people feel that they are part of the problem, but also that they can be part of the solution too. Everyone needs to anticipate and take action before water scarcity becomes a worldwide problem we cannot solve.
