This project was created as a one week project for a class at Art Center College of Design. The concept was inspired by they way the flowers anticipate the warmth of summer. How they look forward to this life experience inspired me to think on a way that something could anticipate us. That would be our northern star that guides a specific attitude, for example, when entering a very exclusive restaurant or a crowded space. The location we would be assigned would brighten up to anticipate our arrival. With this idea I came up with a lamp concept to substitute the candle-light. The lamp highlights were the table we are given is and during dinner can also serve to call the waiter/waitress, or create an ambient light.
