HOUSE LIGHT / LIGHT HOUSE is designed as a two-part project to provide a multi-functional light on a daily basis and in emergency situations.
HOUSE LIGHT (adjustable floor light)
A series of telescoping segments are arranged to allow a user to modulate the amount of light emitted from the fixture to suit a range of activities. In its most compact configuration, each back-lighted translucent module provides a soft warm glow. As each segment is raised, it exposes a thinner, more translucent portion. As the light expands, the overall brightness increases.
LIGHT HOUSE (portable emergency light)
In the event of a power outage a portable emergency light is integrated into the top of the fixture. The internal LED is powered by a small rechargeable battery, which also enables the user to recharge their mobile phones. When docked with the main floor light, the portable unit remains charged for when needed.

Segments of the lamp can be raised and lowered to adjust the brightness. The top section turns out during a power failure.
The top portion of the lamp is portable for emergency needs.
The portable lamp includes a handle and an internal battery for charging portable electronics.
The lamp is lightweight and durable.
The portable lamp can be used in non-emergency situations.
The integrated LED light allows for a bright light with minimal power consumption.
