pitsou kedem organizes contemporary duplex penthouse overlooking tel aviv

overlooking the city of tel aviv, this penthouse is situated on both the 30th and 31st floor, and provides a luxurious home to the client’s family and their contemporary art collection. designed by pitsou kedem architects, the generous home is spread over two levels where the array of programs have been arranged around the ‘nucleus’- the core. the architects described the process of organization through ‘four principal rings’: the enclosure of the nucleus, corridors of movement, interior spaces, and the confinements of the building’s exterior.

the interior references the style of the 1950s, which underlines the design’s functional quality through architectural execution. illustrated through the many hidden storage set within the clean planes of the walls, the home has been designed like a gallery and canvas for the client’s large collection of art, books and sculptures. refined and artistic furnishings embellish the home throughout, and at the same time the urban landscape is in constant view through the sequence of windows on both levels and on the private patio.
