models wearing miu miu‘s latest collection weaved in and out of huge metallic volumes during their spring/summer 2016 women’s show in paris set in august perret’s palais d’iena. realized by OMA’s research branch AMO, the glimmering intervention invades the existing monumental architecture, where the show unfolded around the brutal volume where arches and openings have been carved out. placed in the center of the catwalk, the audience were organized linearly along the perimeter of this ‘hypostyle’, which inherently acted as an organic dialogue between architecture and the fashion, as well as becoming both the path, and the backdrop.
