questions on the ethics of design are often reflected in meiri’s work, and ‘new mexico’ is no different. the series addresses issues of modern consumption, green thinking methodologies, and the lifestyle possibilities that exist in the grey area between. ready-made clay pots are used in tandem with 3D parts and wooden components, enabling a situation where designed objects are reinforced by the values of recycling and material locality.
