the ‘1085 edition’ is another perfect example of what can happen when an exploration-friendly company combines forces with talented designers and an expert producer. designed by bartoli design for kristalia, the simple chair reinterprets time as we know it. rather than striving to disconnect from age, it embraces it, using its own material composition as its signature feature.

‘1085 edition’

‘1085 edition’ is composed of a metal and wooden based, wrapped with an all-natural leather hide, and tied at the bottom and back with a nautical tensioner. presot, a leading italian shoe-sole producer, used their centuries old tradition to compose a leather surface that will easily outlast its owner. as time goes on, the hide goes with it, changing in texture and color whilst never sacrificing performance or functionality.
