maxwell ‘EP0’  is a lightweight electric bike that can make a rider three times more powerful and twice as fast, while still retaining the lines and looks of a conventional bicycle. adding battery packs tend to overweigh the bikes, reducing its all around flexibility, carrying capabilities and handling features. maxwell concealed the power source in the lower frame of the bike, where the petals meet the frame giving it a lower center of gravity. the custom gauge located on the handle bar allows the user to know exactly how many miles of electric assist is left. 

the bike can travel up to 32 km/h 

the motors on the wheel hubs can travel up to 32 km/h with a range of 24 kilometers and includes a pedal assist sensor to detect tough hill climbs. the most distinctive characteristic of the maxwell motorbike ‘EP0’ is the weight. at only 31 pounds (14 kg), the bicycle is one of the lightest rechargeable electric bikes available. the company is currently running a kickstarter campaign to help produce the ‘epo’ in volume to the public, and have their sights set on making appealing and affordable electric bicycles that many more people can enjoy.
