built in the middle of the undisturbed nature reserve of san carlos de bariloche in argentina,  ‘viento house’ has been interpreted by locally based practice g2 estudio arquitectos. faceted in ‘three big movements’, the angular, distinctively shaped structure was influenced by the folding and pleating of paper- seen in the lifted, pointed roof. carrying on into the interior, this has effected the range of window shapes and also the layout of the rooms which have been morphed into spacious and light spaces where the theme has been continued into the built in furniture- establishing an interior and exterior connection.

the family home is located in the south-eastern area of san carlos de bariloche

taking full advantage of the 360-degree natural sights, the house offers covered balconies which lead into the house’s double-height living room. in terms of materiality, wood has been primarily used for the walls and floors, with the exterior cladding featuring slate. during the evenings the entity is lit, highlighting the geometric form of the house.
