san vito is a town in southern italy. there, within a forgotten ruin, is the ‘serious house’. the home, if you should decide to call it that, is a public installation by portuguese collaborative FAHR 021.3 for 180 creative camp. the studio’s (re)creation of a decrepit space through use of colored lines of paint–and structures–creates an emotional experience that questions what was, what is, and what could be.

‘serious house’ is an effort to increase access to art 

‘serious house’ is a fleeting and uncompromising dream that freezes a moment of time and lets visitors’ imaginations decide what the space’s reality really is. the project was developed as an effort to improve local inhabitants exposure and access to art.
